Enkele maanden geleden schreven we over de verschillen en overeenkomsten van het libertarisme en het objectivisme. Zie op 16 juli www.vrijspreker.nl/blog/?it…

Daarin stelden we:”Veel Objectivisten zijn echte puriteinen die niet dulden dat iemand een andere mening hoeft over bepaalde punten dan zoals Ayn Rand dat geformuleerd heeft. Hen wordt (vaak niet ten onrechte) gebrek aan tolerantie verweten.
Jammer is dat deze personen niet rustig tot oplossingen komen. Als ze rationeel met elkaar blijven praten, komen die er echt wel. Want we zullen toch samen iets moeten doen om verder afglijden van de maatschappij af te remmen.”

Nu wil het dat er op de hierboven genoemde data zowel een libertarische als een objectivistische conventie is. En het goede nieuws is, dat beide groepen enkele programmapunten “gezamenlijk” gaan beleven!
Er zal minstens één lezing op de libertarische conventie gehouden worden door William Thomas – “Ayn Rand and the Values of Liberty”.*)

Bovendien wordt het diner op de zaterdagavond gezamenlijk georganiseerd.
Een positieve opening voor meer samenwerking!
