We ontvingen bericht van Jim Peron over zijn nieuwe site met verzamelde video’s die interessant zijn om meer inzicht in het Libertarisme te krijgen.
Zo zijn er interviews met Milton Friedman en Nathaniel branden. Actueel in verband met de ontwikkelingen rondom Ron Paul is: “The Last Days of the American Empire” waarin
Chalmers Johnson zijn kritiek op de Amerikaanse buitenlandse politiek brengt.
Desgewenst kun je ze ook nog zelf downloaden.
I may not have mentioned the new website I’m working on, www.tvliberty.blogspot.com . It is a site of libertarian films or television ranging from short projects of a couple of minutes up to 90 minute to two hour presentations. There are currently 35 such films covering a range of topics all of interest to libertarians. You can find speeches by John Stossel, a history of the modern libertarian movement, interviews with Nathaniel Branden or Milton Friedman, items on the war on drugs, globalization, free markets, along with documentaries and even some cartoons of a humorous nature.
There are another 20 or so films in the pipeline for addition to the site. And you will find a handy index in the right column of the page. Clicking on any item there will bring up on the page only videos in that category. For instance, click on “Milton Friedman” and you will find three videos totaling 90 minutes (and I have a couple of hours more to add in that section).
To watch any of the films people merely click on them there and it will start playing in the same webpage. Most people should already have the software making this possible. I try to add one or two films per day if possible, sometimes more. And I will keep adding them as I find them but that is the part that takes time. It can take up to two hours of searching to find one decent film. I do try to be selective.
There is a lot of poorly done material out there that I try to avoid so this means not only searching for the material but then viewing segments of it to see if it is up to standards. But then it remains in this on line library for free access, a one stop libertarian film library useable around the world. So far I’ve had visitors from around two dozen countries including China. This is a good resource for individuals. In addition, if people have the right browsers with the right bells and whistles (Firefox and DownloadHelper for instance) they can actually download many of the videos for later viewing as well.
