Person_klaus_newNu de meerderheid in Ierland onder druk van Ierse en Europese politici, geholpen door een diepe crisis, vóór het verraad van Lissabon heeft gestemd, komt de vraag wat er nu gaat gebeuren. Onmiddellijk nadat de uitslag bekend werd, ging het ritselen voor baantjes meer versneld en meer open door.
 
De twee meest begeerde banen zijn de President van Europa en de Europese Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken. Tussen haakjes, beide functies stonden al in de afgestemde EU-grondwet, maar hebben voor het verraad een andere “naam” gekregen. Dit om de acceptatie makkelijker te maken.

Het ziet er nu naar uit dat alleen de Tsjechische president, Vaclav Klaus, de enige man in Europa is die de ingang van deze nieuwe machtstructuur nog kan afremmen. Op dit moment kan Klaus zich nog beroepen op het Hoge Gerechtshof dat nog een definitieve uitspraak moet doen. ** 

 *** Als dat Hof ook goedkeurig verleent, is de grote vraag of Klaus dan nog stand kan houden. Eind november wordt een “hearing” van het Hof verwacht. Deze week zijn er wel al officiële besprekingen van politici om te trachten te regelen hoe ze toch hun zin kunnen doordrijven.  En de Tsjechische premier gaat er in woensdag in Brussel over praten! De EUobserver schrijft:If it is a Yes, expect an immediate eruption of horse-trading among EU member states for the top two EU positions foreseen in the treat: President of the European Council and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
In the Friday edition of the Times of London, “senior British sources” were paraphrased as saying that former prime minister Tony Blair is ready to be “proclaimed” president within weeks of the referendum, as he now has the backing not only of French President Nicholas Sarkozy, but that German opposition to his candidacy has become more malleable if Berlin is offered a key job in the new post-Lisbon EU.”

Barroso is verheugd dat de EU nu “effectiever kan werken”. Dank je de koekoek, zij worden nu niet meer geremd door een eventueel veto. Ze hoeven maar voldoende “stemmen” te halen en de rest van de Europeanen ZAL gehoorzamen. Ook Jan Peter Balkenende juicht dat toe!
De PVV en de SP zijn er niet helemaal gelukkig mee. De SP overigens om de verkeerde redenen.

Ook in de NRC lezen we een opmerkelijke zin: “-Dat neemt niet weg dat het tweede referendum bij velen een wat nare smaak in de mond nalaat. Volgens veel tegenstemmers – en zelfs sommige voorstemmers – getuigde het van weinig respect voor de wil van het volk om hetzelfde verdrag voor de tweede keer aan de kiezers —-voor te leggen”.
Dit geeft ook duidelijk aan wat wij in de toekomst te verwachten hebben.

De schrijvers van de Vrijspreker zullen in de toekomst vaak weerstand trachten te bieden tegen de opmerking: “We told you so, wij hebben je toch gewaarschuwd!” Sorry, ik vrees dat ook ik dat niet kan laten!!

    One of the first orders of business for the post-Lisbon EU will be to appoint Tony Blair as the first President of the European Union.
    Major media outlets from the BBC in Britain to RTE in Ireland are now reporting that the Yes side scored a resounding victory in Ireland’s vote Friday on the EU Lisbon Treaty. With the treaty’s ratification, the obstacles preventing the total federalization of the EU superstate are now removed.
    As the Daily Mail reported earlier this week, one of the first orders of business for the post-Lisbon EU will be to appoint Tony Blair as the first President of the European Union. This move has been fully expected ever since Tony Blair’s highly suspect conversion to Catholocism two years ago. Of course, the many laudatory pieces (and even the adversarial ones) we are likely to read about Mr. Blair in the coming weeks will signally fail to mention that he has been accused of numerous war crimes and crimes against humanity including:
    – Continuing economic sanctions imposed on Iraq from 1990 until its invasion at the hands of his government in 2003 that resulted in the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children.
    – Conspiracy to join with another power in a war of aggression (the supreme international war crime).
    – High treason in manufacturing a case for war (including the infamous Downing Street Memo).
    – Participating in a political and military coalition with the U.S. in Iraq that deployed controvened weapons like white phosphorus.
    Of course, the Irish electorate has not only allowed Blair to become the President of the EU. According to the National Platform EU Research and Information Centre, which has compiled a list of 13 Facts About the Lisbon Treaty, they have also created a self-amending treaty that will no longer allow national vetoes on key issues like tax harmonization, crime, transport, energy and public health and services. As the head of the National Platform Anthony Coughlan explained in a pre-vote interview on the significance of the treaty: “It [Lisbon] would establish a kind of European Federation which would in effect have all the powers of a traditional state. And this new EU Federation would then sign treaties with other states in all areas of its powers and would have its own voice at the United Nations and its own foreign minister and its own diplomatic service and so on.” Listen to the interview in the audio player below:
    Now that the EU has “won” by forcing the Irish public to vote on the Lisbon Treaty until they got it “right,” liberty-minded people the world over will have the uncomfortable experience of watching the expansion of this vast new tyrannical superstate headed by unaccountable bureaucrats. Of course, given that the EU has been frustrated in its attempts to undermine national sovereignty again and again and again when the people are actually given a chance to have their say, we can only hope that the entire EU enterprise has been so discredited now that the political opposition to this rising EU Federation will continue to rise.
    The coming weeks and months will be the most critical for the creation of this pumped-up regional superpower. One can only hope that the European citizenry will redouble their efforts to stop the inevitable power grabs before it is solidified because the consequences for the entire world if this Nazi-inspired and Bilderberg organized regional monstrosity is created are simply too ghastly to contemplate.

    Cameron heeft gezegd dat hij alleen een referendum uitschrijft als het verdrag/verraad nog niet door alle 27 landen is geratificeerd voordat hij een referendum kan (wil?) uitschrijven. Dus hij verplicht zichzelf tot niets.

    Zo zie je maar, herhaalde referendums is effectiever dan de tanks sturen (zoals in Hongarije, Tsjechoslowakije).

    Al met al zie ik toch liever de EU-vredes-tanks door de straten van Ierland rollen, dan zo’n staatsgreep via het stembureau. Want wat als de uitslag ‘nee’ was geweest; was er dan een referendum nummer 3 gekomen?

    The chief remaining obstacle is the opposition of Vaclav Klaus, the Czech president, who said at the weekend he would not sign the treaty – even though the Czech parliament has approved it – until the nation’s constitutional court had ruled on a legal challenge to it from 17 Eurosceptic senators.
    However, Mr Klaus also indicated that, if the ruling was positive, he would not seek to torpedo the treaty by delaying his signature for so long that the UK’s opposition Conservative party might come to power after an election due by next June and call a British referendum, likely to kill Lisbon once and for all.
    “I’m afraid that the people of Britain should have been doing something really much earlier and not just now, too late, saying something and waiting for my decision,” said Mr Klaus.

    Ik denk dat die “verstandige mensen” het er eerst eens over moeten worden wat voor “nieuwe wereld” er moet komen, de basisvoorwaarden.
    Als die “verstandige mensen” het daar niet over eens kunnen worden, heeft de rest geen zin.
    Men moet dus in staat zijn water bij de wijn te doen…
